  • Hybrid Imaging Course – Molecular Imaging for Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians

    General Information

    Following the requests from our participants, we will hold the Hybrid Imaging Course – Molecular Imaging for Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians. The topic of the course is "Diseases of the Brain, Head and Neck, Spine". The course will be workshops-style offered in a face-to-face (onsite in Davos) format only. Lunch and coffee breaks are included in the registration fees.

    • The Hybrid Imaging Course will take place on Saturday prior to the IDKD in a face-to-face (onsite) format only
    • The 54th IDKD registration fees do not include the Saturday courses: if you are attending the IDKD course, please select Saturday courses ticket(s) in addition while registering
    • The three courses on Saturday are running in parallel. During the online registration process, you would be able to select the Hybrid Imaging course onsite and the Fundamentals course online. Any pre-course taking place on Saturday, March 23, is available for attendance in combination with the IDKD course.

    Course objectives

    • The participants will learn effective approaches in incorporating nuclear medicine techniques / hybrid imaging into their daily practice and enhancing their diagnostic skills by molecular imaging
    • The participants will learn in which setting which imaging examination and which radiotracer is most effective
    • The participants will be provided guidance for the diagnostic value of new and emerging radiotracers in the field of diseases of the Brain, Head and Neck, Spine
    • The participants will interact with top international experts in the field of imaging of the diseases of the Brain, Head and Neck, Spine

  • Interdisziplinäre Uroonkologie – Prostatakarzinom 2024

    Gerne möchten wir Sie über die Tagung „Interdisziplinäre Uroonkologie – Prostatakarzinom 2024“ informieren. Die Tagung findet am 18.04. – 19.04.2024 statt und wird im Hybridformat im Seminarhaus auf der Gugl in 4020 Linz abgehalten.

    Die Fortbildung wird von den Abteilungen Radioonkologie und Urologie, unter der Leitung von Prim. Prof. Dr. Hans Geinitz und Prim. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Thomas Höfner FEBU gemeinsam veranstaltet. 

    Spannende, kontroverse Inhalte der diagnostischen Verfahren sind unter anderem der Mehrwert der PSMA-PET, der MR-gestützten Prostatabiopsie oder des molekularen Profilings. Ein weiterer Fokus liegt auf den aktuellen Behandlungsmöglichkeiten, darunter Themen wie minimal-invasive Operationsverfahren, die stereotaktische Strahlentherapie, der Stellenwert der fokal-ablativen Therapien und die Kombination von Strahlentherapie, ADT und sekundärer Hormonmanipulation. Derzeitige medikamentöse Therapiemöglichkeiten, wie PARP-Inhibitoren oder die Immuntherapie bilden weitere Schwerpunkt.
